Registration

We encourage pre-registration either on-line or via snail mail. An accurate count of participants allows us to better plan the activities associated with the contest. Please help us out and register early.

You can register for the contest on-line through the Soaring Society of America website. You must be logged into the "Members" area (requires your current SSA number and a password as explained on the SSA site). Then just select the "Sailplane Racing" tab, the "Online Registration" tab, the 18M Nationals contest from the list and complete the form.

A deposit of $100.00 should be mailed to us at the time of your registration. On-site registration will be available but we would rather have your registration early or at least know you are planning on attending for planning purposes.

PLEASE NOTE: All checks for fees should be made out to:      SGC Soaring Foundation. Any documents or checks should be mailed to:

Lodging and Meals

There are a number of motels, restaurants and camping/RV sites located in the Ephrata area. The most current contact telephone numbers for motel reservations can be found on the website for the Ephrata Chamber of Commerce. Click on the "Chamber Members" tab and look under "Lodging/Hotel" and "Restaurants". You can also find campgrounds and RV resorts under "Camping/RV". If you plan on staying in a motel during the contest we recommend that you make reservations early as the area is quite popular for summer recreation.

Another possibility for lodging is in the City of Soap Lake. Located about 7 miles north of Ephrata there are additional restaurants and lodging available. The Soap Lake Chamber of Commerce web site has this information under "Businesses" and then "Lodging".

Our last suggestion is to visit the Moses Lake web site. Click on the "Accommodations" or "Restaurants" link at the top of the page. Moses Lake is located approximately 15 miles east of Ephrata.
